Campus FM

This maybe a late news…
Campus Radio has been reborn, but you cant find it at the 97.1 FM frequency but you can now find it at 99.5 DWRT. Hit FM is now Campus FM. Most of the DJs in Campus FM are from DWLS FM Campus Radio which now is Barangay LS.

I felt badly when I heard and read the news on the internet. First I was watching Eat Bulaga last Saturday (March 29, 2008), in its segment “On the Spot Jackpot!”. Their players are Djs from different FM stations in Metro Manila. I was shocked that I saw the DJs before of Campus radio like Braggy and JimmyJam playing for Campus FM station. I thought it was the same Campus Radio before and RT was only bought by GMA Network to follow the Campus Radio legacy, but as I have read the article in Wikipedia about 99.5 DWRT and the article about 97.1 DWLS, I was wrong.

I learned that the DJs of LS were terminated from DWLS FM with the reason of not having the station be number one. It was the decision of RGMA President Mike Enriquez. And I confirmed this to Atong Bomb’s Blog. I felt really bad, since I am loyal to GMA Network, from their 2 TV Stations (GMA 7 and Q) to their radio stations(DZBB AM and DWLS FM). I love those DJs, I was comfortable listening to them. Some of my favorites are John Hendrix, Jimmy Jam, Triggerman and Joe Spinner.

When you listen to 99.5 DWRT Campus FM, it’s like listening to Campus Radio, the Campus Radio that I listen to way back. But there’s one comment in Atong Bomb’s Blog that when he listens to the DJs of Barangay LS that they are not comfortable in what they are doing, I agree to him. I cant imagine, how those DJs talk in tagalog since I listen to them before speaking in english.
